Date and Text Label Result not working! Please help

Hi

I really need your help, I gave up😥

The Next Check-In stopped working when the result is "Work from home". When I logged out and log in to the APP I should see the Result Message and the Date till next day, however it is showing to start from beginning. How I fix this issue?

The Next Check-In OnText Code

With({_email: User().Email},

"Next Check-In Date " &

If(lblResult_1.Text = "Work from Home",
DateAdd(Today(), 1, Days),
If(!LookUp('Back to Work Eligibility', StartsWith(Employee.Email,_email),true),
"Check in Required",
With({_records: SortByColumns(Filter('Back to Work Eligibility',StartsWith(Employee.Email,_email)), "NextCheck_x002d_InDate", Descending)},
Text(
With({_utc: First(_records).'Next Check-In Date'},
DateAdd(_utc, TimeZoneOffset(_utc), Minutes)
),
ShortDate
)
)
)
)
)

The Work from Home OnText Code

If(
IsBlank(ListBox3_1.Selected.Value),
"Well-check Status Required",
If(
ListBox3_1.Selected.Value = "Home",
"Work from Home",
ListBox4_1.Selected.Value = "Yes",
"Work from Home, contact HR",
ListBox5_1.Selected.Value = "Yes",
"Work from Home, contact HR",
ListBox5_2.Selected.Value = "Yes",
"Work from Home, contact HR",
ListBox5_2.Selected.Value = "No",
"Clear for Office/Field work"
)
)

No problem... put the suggestions I made into your thought process and make some formula changes based on your logic.  If you get stuck...just post back and we can pick up from there.

Hi @RandyHayes

I am not sure if I am doing this right or how to do it. Tell now I did create on the scrMain OnVisibile Code

Set(
varSafeToWork,
LookUp('Back to Work Eligibility',
Employee.Email = VarUserEmail,
lblResult_4.Text
)
);
// Present safe to work eligibility If(
LookUp(
'Back to Work Eligibility',
Employee.Email = VarUserEmail,
'Next Check-In Date'
) < Now(); DateAdd(Today(), 1, Days);
Set(varSafeToWork, "Well-check Status Required")

the on the Well-Check OnText Code ......... Still not working and my logic is not working too I know that

If(
IsBlank(ListBox3_1.Selected.Value) && varSafeToWork,
"Well-check Status Required",
If(
ListBox3_1.Selected.Value = "Home",
"Work from Home",
ListBox4_1.Selected.Value = "Yes",
"Work from Home, contact HR",
ListBox5_1.Selected.Value = "Yes",
"Work from Home, contact HR",
ListBox5_2.Selected.Value = "Yes",
"Work from Home, contact HR",
ListBox5_2.Selected.Value = "No",
"Clear for Office/Field work"

)
)

@lolla70

Yes, most of what you described in your Formula is not going to work at all. You've got a lot of mismatched types and functions that are incomplete.

I believe you might be overcomplicating this a bit though...

In general all you need to do is get the information from your record in the list and repopulate the controls in your screen.  This is what the Default properties are all about.

HOWEVER...I believe that the key to this working is that you are basing your formulas off of the ListBoxes.   This is a problem because ListBoxes do NOT have Default properties.  You cannot set them to anything.  I would seriously reconsider the ListBox and consider a Gallery to provide the same look and also the ability to select.

I am not as intimately familiar with your logic as you are, so I can't give specific formulas for you to use.

I recall some of this from a prior post and I am looking back at it (I see you posted a new response in it that is basically this new thread...sorry, been a bit backlogged on responses this week).

So, I paused typing to read through the other post...

I see that you are not using the formula provided there.  That formula would get the information from the record and give you the text for your button...what happened to using that??

See, in that formula from the other post, we were looking up the value from the list and using it.  Now, you are just basing the formula off of the label, which is based off of a ListBox which has no values based on the record...so yes, every time you start the app,  you are not basing off of the employee record like we did in that other post.
