Delegable command in Collection

If I am able to get all the records (more than 500) from a CDS table into collection, am I still restricted on commands like DISTINCT to read only 500 records even from collection? It is happening to me hence confirming and would also like to know list of commands that work on all entries in a collection.

So I am afraid that a Collection doesn’t support delegation.

That's a bummer. I was under the impression that once data was in collection, most commands would work, and delegation was applicable only when retrieving info from data source.
