Dependent Dropdown on Custom Form not Sending Inputs to SharePoint List

I'm new to PowerApps and I'm trying to customize a form for a SharePoint List with dependent dropdowns. The data source for the dropdowns is an excel file with a mapping of phase to various milestones. The dropdowns are working well and showing on the form, but the data isn't appearing in the SharePoint List.

I found this post with a similar issue, but I couldn't get the solution to work for me.

Here's the code I tried in the update box on the Milestone_Card

ForAll(
'Milestone Selector'.SelectedItems,
{Milestone:Result}
)

Milestone is a choice column in the SharePoint list. I've attached a screenshot as well for reference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @aturnidge

Per the screen shot the "Update" property should map to the Column in Sharepoint

You need to set the default property of the dropdown to the formula mentioned.

Thanks.

Thanks, @Anonymous! Something isn't working still (likely user error). I published the changes of the form and tried to select a value for Milestone on the form and it still didn't populate on the SharePoint list in the Milestone column.

Can you take a look at this screenshot and see if this is what you meant?

@aturnidge

my bad. the default property should set a value to the Field. This would be from the list/table.  You are setting a context variable.

Thanks.

Re: Dependent Dropdown on Custom Form not Sending Inputs to SharePoint List

@Anonymous - Here's what I have to put in the default property for the dropdown:

Distinct(Filter(Table2, Phase = 'Phase Selector'.Selected.Value), Milestone)

Is this what you meant? Sorry, I'm trying to learn on the fly.
