Difference between Apps start from template and blank Apps

Hi All,

I have two apps, one start from template and one start from blank Apps.

I find out the result are difference.

Firstly, the icon show in App list is different. One in black icon and one in sky blue. Please find the attached Capture2.png

Second,

I cannot create component in the one start from template. Please find the attached Capture3.png

Third,

I can copy the component between Apps start from blank. But I cannot do so from blank to template and vice versa.

Is there any solution for 2 and 3. Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous ,

Firstly, let me explain the differences between app that starts from template and app that starts from blank Apps.

Template app is the template that is released by Microsoft. It has already been configurated for multiple scenes. Many configurations have already been set.

(The problems that you mentioned are all about app's configurations.)

While blank app's all configurations are all default value.

How to change these  configurations that you mentioned?

1)the app's icon

File->settings->name+icon

2)component

If you want to use this feather, you need to turn on one settings

File->settings->advanced settings

Hi @Anonymous

For issues 2 and 3, there is a components option in the settings. If you enable that, that should resolve the issue of that missing item in the template.
