Different date in PowerApps and in SP list

I have a SharePoint list with different items containing a start & enddate.

scrn1.PNG

If I connect PowerApps to this SPlist and fill a gallery with the same items I get the times +9hours.

scrn2.PNG

I checked the site language settings, language settings in my O365-profile & PC language settings. It is all UTC+1 (Belgium is where I am). I then tried to change it in PA to Text(ThisItem.Startdate;DateTimeFormat.ShortDateTime;"nl") but that doesn't help either.

Anyone any other explanations or solutions?

Re: Different date in PowerApps and in SP list

Hi@Verlet,

Do you want to keep the date the same as the SP list displays?

Is your SP Site set to the same Time Zone or Locale as your local PC?

Combine that with your description, I think this issue is related to the Time Zone or Locale value set in your SharePoint Site. The Date time format in a canvas app is based on your local Time Zone and Locale value, but the Date time format in your SP List itself is based on the Time zone and Locale setting in your SP Site.

I have a test on my side, please take a try as below.

Within your app, set the Text property of the StartDate/EndDate Label in the Gallery to following:

Text( DateAdd(ThisItem.StartDate, -9, Hours ), "[$-en-US]dd-mm-yyyy hh:mm")

You can change the number based on your TimeZone difference.

Best Regards,

Qi

Re: Different date in PowerApps and in SP list

Hello,

seems like a UTC issue anyway. Did you check the timezone of your SharePoint Site? It can differ from your personal M365 settings.

from the official help you get the following suggestion:

Converting to UTC

DateAdd( StartTime, TimeZoneOffset(), Minutes )

Converting from UTC:

DateAdd( StartTime, −TimeZoneOffset( StartTime ), Minutes )

Hope this helps.

Best regards.
