Disabling the downloading of attachments from a form having SharePoint list as data source

Hi Folks,

I am making a Employee directory for my Workplace.

I have a SharePoint list as a data source and in Power Apps I use a form to input my data in this source and add attachments.

The problem I have is I want a person to upload an attachment file (image or PDF) but avoid downloading the attachments of other employees (Privacy issue).

One more thing is that users should only be able to see the name of file which is uploaded and not launch it in browser. Because this will give them a loophole of 'right clicking' and 'save file as' option.

Any help in this direction is highly appreciated.

Hi @AkshayShingan ,

Do you want to
1)limit downing attachments that only uploaded by current user?

2)make user only be able to see the name of file?

I'm afraid both of the two feathers are not supported.

The attachments field does not have these feathers about limitations.

For demand1, you could limit user view records based on who created that record.  Sharepoint list could record the user name who create that record or modify the record. However, who upload the attachments will not be recorded.

Thank you so much @v-yutliu-msft .

Sometimes an advice of 'what is possible and what is not' are more important then the advice of 'how-to'.

Warm regards,

Akshay
