Display calculated column value while still on new entry form?

I have a SharePoint list with calculated columns based on a choice column. How can I get my PowerApp "new" form to show values immediately while still adding the new item?

Typically SharePoint lists only calculate based columns AFTER you submit a new item, but not while editing.

I was able to use this reference the DataCardValue of the drop down datacard:

Switch(DataCardValue4.Selected.Value,"Yes",5,"No",0,"")

This was placed in a custom card within the New item form. Remember to set the display mode to Edit. When the user selects Yes it displays a 5, when they select No, it displays 0 and when they drop down has no selection the value is blank. Please alter for your own needs

@Blacksmith354

This is not possible.

As you describe, a SharePoint calculated column is a server generated value, and it's only possible to recalculate the value by initiating a save operation.

If you want to update the calculated value whilst the user is composing a new record, you would need to replicate the calculation in Power Apps.

@timl ,

Yes, that's exactly what I'm looking to do. How can I replicate the calculation within the entry form as a card to be displayed next to the choice question?

I'm still extremely new to PowerApps but will learn quickly if pointed in the right direction.

Example: User selects "Yes" from choice drop down, and card next to it immediately displays "5". User selects "No" from the choice and card shows "0".

I tried a new custom card with an IF statement but that didn't work? Any help?
