Displaying Value on Office365Users Combo Box

I have a combo box on a Form that displays values using the following function:

Office365Users.DirectReportsV2("Frank.Thomas@domain.onmicrosoft.com",{'$top':50}).value

Creating a new item with this control works fine, as expected.

When i go to edit this item, (data source sharepoint), the combo box does not display the selection that was made when it was created.

Any hints on how i can default the field to show the stored value.

I tried.

ThisItem.FieldName and Parent.Default,

but i get the following error.

"the property expects record values but this rule produces incompatible text values"

Re: Displaying Value on Office365Users Combo Box

Setting DefaultSelectedItems to [Parent.Default] or to [Gallery.Selected.Developer]with those brackets seems to be a solution for me. Not sure if it is the best solution, but when i open up a form now from the gallery, it displays the correct value i was expecting.
