Document automation canvas app is overriding column data2 with data 5

When a document is processed, document comes to manual review, and after i validate the document by clicking validate button the field data2 is getting overridden by data5

Hi @Devendran ,

From you screenshot, seems that the right half is an edit form. If yes, what is the Items property and DataSource property of this form?

I assume that:
1. The right half is an edit form, and this form get information from a SP library("DataSource=libraryname").

2. When click the Validate button, you want to update lastname column with value in this record’s phone column.

If my understand is correct, you can try to use formula like below:

(assume that the name of your firstname control is DataCardValue_lastname)

Patch(libraryname,LookUp(libraryname,firstname= DataCardValue_lastname.Text),{lastname: LookUp(libraryname,firstname= DataCardValue_lastname.Text).phone})

Or, you can also try this formula:

(assume that the name of your phone control is DataCardValue_phone)

Patch(libraryname,LookUp(libraryname,firstname= DataCardValue_lastname.Text),{lastname: DataCardValue_phone.Text})

Note: We use LookUp(libraryname,firstname= DataCardValue_lastname.Text) to find this record in your DataSource based on the firstname(like "David" in your screenshot), then Patch function will edit the lastname value of this record.
