Drop Down List for Email Separated Split by ; delimiter not working

Hi, I am trying to create a drop down list for an email column that contains 2 or more emails separated by ; delimiter.

I already tried Distinct ('Process Task List', Split( Email,";")) however this goes into error saying Expected a different collection record structure.

Any ideas to properly split the emails?

Hi @keyboardWrench ,

Could you tell me:
1)what is your data source?

2)what is this field data type? I'm afraid there's no data type called Email

3)the format of this field?

If this field is text type and with data like this: "email1;email2","email2;email3", and you want to get no-repeated emails in a drop down, you could set the drop down's Items like this:

Filter(
       Distinct(
                Split(
                      Concat('Process Task List',Email&";"),
//connect all email togther to text
                      ";"
                     ),
//split to a table
                Result),
//get no-repated value
       !IsBlank(Result)
       )

Hi @v-yutliu-msft ,

Thank you for you response.  Here is my answer to you query:

1. Data Source: Collection

2.  Type: String

3.  Filed Format: Text

When I tried your recommendation I got blank results. I even tried creating a column for People (email input) and I got blank results as well. 😞

Hi @v-yutliu-msft ,

I reverted to email string instead rather than People & Group column.

I applied below collection by all I am getting is All Persons in my collection:

ClearCollect(personDropDownCol,{Result:"All Persons"});
Collect(personDropDownCol,Filter(Sort(Distinct(Split(Concat('Department',PersonEmailString&";"), ";"),Result),!IsBlank(Result)),Ascending));

Any ideas?
