Drop Down search form SharePoint list

Hello,

I am currently working on a search app based off a SharePoint list. This app is to allow people to see data, that do not need to change the data. I have a text search version, which I have working correctly. I am working on a dropdown search version currently.

I got this to work when I was using an Excel based data source, but the SharePoint one will not work.

Here is the SharePoint version code:

SortByColumns(Filter([@'Data Gaps Tracker'], Dropdown1_2.Selected.Result in Platform && Dropdown1_1.Selected.Result in Site),"Title",If(true,Descending,Ascending))

And the Excel version code:

SortByColumns(Filter([@Table1], Dropdown1_2.Selected.Result in Platform && Dropdown1_1.Selected.Result in Site),"Status",If(true,Descending,Ascending))

Is this a problem of SharePoint limits rather than a coding issue?

Thanks,

Echo1409

Hi @Anonymous ,

Could you please share the error message?

If the Platform column is Choices type, please modify the code as below:

SortByColumns(Filter([@'Data Gaps Tracker'], Dropdown1_2.Selected.Result in Platform.Value && Dropdown1_1.Selected.Result in Site),"Title",If(true,Descending,Ascending))

Hope this helps.

Hi @eka24 ,

I did not make the list, so I'm not completely sure what you mean. Although, when I went to the list and created an entry, for the "platform" item there was a drop down to select the platform.

Thanks,

Hi @eka24 ,

I looked into it and it is a choice type. Is there anyway to search data that is complex?

Thanks,
