Drop down missing in column of sharepoint list (HelpDesk app)


I have a problem with creating column in Sharepoint part for HelpDesk app

according to instructions I should select Choice as type of information, specify my choices and then select Drop-Down menu





but I am not finding that option....

what I can see.png

as result when trying to create a new ticket, it looks like there are 2 dropdown lists for category and priority

but when I ckick on it, it is changing to text field and no option to make a choice which was defined in earlier steps.

Any idea's what I did wrong? or is it a bug? or instructions are no up to date

It looks like you are creating the column from your list view. When you do that not all the options are available. In this case you want to go to the list setting's page and create the column from there and then you see the other options.
