Dropdown; Filter by second column

I have a table with two columns.

I would like to filter the available results in the list based upon the second value in the list

This is a sample of my table called CallDetailsList

CallDetailsList                             Category
Please Select:
Repeat Same Issue                    Chronic Escalations (Field):
Repeat Different Issues              Chronic Escalations (Field):
2 Man Drop Replacement          Drop Escalations (Field):
Bucket Truck Required               Drop Escalations (Field):

I have a dropdown earlier in the form Called DataCard50_1 and the dropdown is DataCardValue55_1, and it selects a Category, the data value is called 02Activity

How do I filter is based upon the category, I am not sure which element to grab a value from.

Thank you in advance.

Re: Dropdown; Filter by second column

If I understand your scenario correctly, you should be able to fitler the Dropdown for the CallDetailsList with the code below Under the Items property of the Dropdown:

Filter(CallDetailList, Category=DataCardValue55_1.Selected.Value)

Then under the Value of the dropdown, choose the proper field to display.

It would be much helpful if you could share a screenshot of the related data source and the form control you are working with, so I could offer a better solution.

Re: Dropdown; Filter by second column

Thank you for the reply,

I have a data table called data where I am saving my form data, saving to this field 121CallDetailsShort

I am trying to build a filtered list in a table called CallDetailsList

I want to filter it by Category which is related to the first required field

I am new to Powerapps and am helping people with a time tracking tool, I have most of it working and did not want to have to create a seperate details list for each category. There must be an easier way.

Thank you in Advance!
