Dropdown box in gallery doesn't display items in full length

Hi PowerApps developers,

Is that a way to make the dropdown box in gallery to display its item in full length? The conventional SSRS dropdown box looks much better and both of them are from Microsoft.

Tooltips (Mouse hoover) also not available in the dropdown box items. Any clue how to fix this?

Thanks.

Re: Dropdown box in gallery doesn't display items in full length

Hi @SydSpiderman ,

Do you mean that your drop down's width is not enough to display all text?

Do you use canvas app?
If so, you could make the drop down's width based on the text length.

For example, I the drop down is used to display Title field, you could set the drop down's Width to :

Len(ThisItem.Title)*50

930.PNG

If you want all the drop down be same width, you could also set drop down's Width like this:

Max(AddColumns(fruit11111,"length",Len(Title)),length)*20

 //fruit11111 is my table name

9300.PNG

Not exactly what I after, instead of dropdown now I make use of a textbox with button launching Listbox method.

Re: Dropdown box in gallery doesn't display items in full length

Hi @SydSpiderman ,

So now you want to change the height for each item in the gallery based on the item number in the listbox?

If so, could you tell me how do you set the listbox's Items?

I assume that you set the listbox to collection1.

Then you just need to set the gallery's TemplateSize like this:

CountRows(collection1)*30
