Dropdown control not populating possible items to choose from?

Hello,

I am trying to add a simple dropdown control to my application. As database I am using excel spreadsheets through OneDrive.

The problem is, inside "Properties" of the dropdown control, I chose my table, which has columns like "Gruppe". "Gruppe" has two entries (or rows) whose values are "Test1" and "Test2". Normally it should provide me with those two values, right? But somehow it doesn't.  I have tried many things and I couldn't figure it out.

Also, the default value is not displayed at all...

As reference see the pictures below:

Hi @SofticKabir ,

Do you have an Excel table with a column of 2 rows? Would you like to use that table as the data source of a dropdown control?

If so, perhaps there is something wrong with that Excel table. So first of all, I would say that it is not recommended to use Excel tables as data source in Power Apps for a few limitations. See below blog:

To solve the issue on your end, and since it is a test table with test data, you could try below steps:

1\ Create a new worksheet, copy and paste the table rows from old worksheet to the new one.

2\ Format as table:

3\ Save the table and close this worksheet.

4\ Remove the connection in Power Apps Studio.

5\ Create a new connection with the recently created Excel table.

6\ Remove the old dropdown, add a new one:

7\ Set Items property of the dropdown to the new Excel table, and set the Value property to Gruppe column.

Hope this helps.
