Hi All,

I see so many posts about the same topic, However, nothing is working out for me. I tried Lookup, and If functions but everything is giving me an error.

I have two data sources, one is the SharePoint list and other is Table from one drive,

whenever I hit edit in the detail screen, the dropdown values in edit screen form is going back to default.

Please help!

Hi @Anonymous ,

What are the Items and Default properties of your drop-down?

Also is it a Combo Box or a Drop-down?

Hi @Anonymous ,

Do you mean that your drop down did not display default value in edit form correctly?

Could you tell me

1)the relationship between the edit form, the sharepoint list and the excel table in one drive?

2)what does the drop down display?

3)the data type of the fields that are related to this drop down?

Usually, we set edit form like this:

1)a gallery to display all the items

set its Items to :listname

2)a detail form to display an item in detailed

set the form's Item: Gallery1.Selected

set the form's data source: listname

3)an edit form to edit/create item

set the form's Item: Gallery1.Selected

set the form's data source: listname

The drop down field's datacard's Default:

ThisItem.fieldname

the drop down's Deafult:

Parent.Default

However, if you customize the drop down, for example: make the drop down related to two data source, then many properties need to be set differently.

So could you tell me more deatils?

I have a SharePoint list with the details like:

and the Excel table to show relationship between Location and Workcenter ,

Don't really know what will work but please try this, i might have spelled your column names wrong.

DefaultSelectedItems = ThisItem.WorkCenter

DefaultSelectedItems = WorkCenter.Selected.Value
DefaultSelectedItems = [ThisItem.WorkCenter......]

For some reason the [ThisItem....] works for me in specific columns like people columns and so on, if you dont use the [] it will show an error.
