Dropdown menu sort and a searchbox

Hello,

I have my app sorting working with a dropdown menu:

If(DropdownEmployees.Selected.Value="Team",SortByColumns(EM_Employees,"cr1f7_team2",Descending))

I can't figure out how to apply search to it.

Hi @Heliooso ,

Something like this

If(
   DropdownEmployees.Selected.Value="Team",
   SortByColumns(
      Search(
         EM_Employees,
         YourSearchBox,
         "YourSearchColumn"
      ),
      "cr1f7_team2",
      Descending
   )
)

This is not working.

If(DropdownEmployees.Selected.Value="Team",SortByColumns(Search(EM_Employees,"cr1f7_team2",TextInputSearch.Text),"cr1f7_team2",Descending))

I checked and cr1f7_team2 is a Text data type.

Please ask for any more information that you need, I will provide it. @WarrenBelz

@Heliooso ,

Dangers of free-typing - now fixed. Note that if the drop-down is not "Team", you will have not Items displayed as you have no "else" in your statement.
