ETAG Issue while editing sharepoint form

Hi Team,

We are facing a big issue in our production environment , When users are editing the sharepoint form , they are unable to save the form some times.

We have observed that it is happening due to "ETAG" Issue . Please find the attached snapshot for your reference .

"Conflicts exists with changes on ther server, please reload.Server Response:ETAG mismatch"

Please let me know what the steps we need to follow to overcome this strange behaviour. It would be very much greatful if anyone provides what are the reasons for this Issue.

Thanks in advance !

Regards,

Mahesh.

Hi @Anonymous,

How do you submit your form data within your app? Using SubmitForm function or Patch function?

Based on the error message that you mentioned, I think you have faced a ETag Conflict issue with the formula you used to submit your form data.

This issue may occur when multiple users are editing same records within your SP list. The user @karl has faced same issue with you, please check the response within the following thread:

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/General-Discussion/Server-Response-ETAG-mismatch-Conflicts-exist-with-changes-on/td-p/131599

On your side, please consider take a try to add the following formula before your submit form formula:

Refresh('YourSPList')

In addition, please also check and see if the solution mentioned within the following blog would help in your scenario:

Hi @v-xida-msft ,

We are submitting the from using SubmitForm() function and we have added refresh("ListName") in EditForm of SharePoint Integration .

Actually we have 2 list , parent and child . On success of Sharepoint form 1 of Parent list inserting child list values by looping . but still some times we are facing ETAG Issue .

Please help to resolve this issue permanantly .
