Edit form and SharePoint list with lookup columns

Hi
I'm building an app from SharePoint list that have a few lookup columns.
When I want to edit a record that appears in the powerapp, those fields aren't editable.
Another fields in this form, which aren't lookup, I can edit.
What can I do to solve this issue.
Thanks

Hi @Ronit05 ,

A the primary lookup column is editable in a drop-down or Combo Box and this should be provided when you insert the field into an edit form.

If you are referring to a "secondary" lookup (show more fields from another table), then these are not editable as they are automatically generated based on the first.

If you are having issues beyond this, can you please send a screen shot of what you are trying to do.

Hi

Thanks for your answer.

I have a few sharepoint list that I made lookups to my main sharepoint list & this list I refer in my app.

Do you have a solution, how I can edit those columns in the app?

(I have a few lists, because all the data is from SQL, and we export to excels and import them to sharepoint lists.)

Thanks

Ronit

Hi @Ronit05 ,

The idea of a lookup to another list for an additional column (again I assume this is what we are taking about - please confirm) is essentially a formula that is updated when the primary lookup field is changed.

The only way would be to have a text field containing these values, which obviously would be editable.

OK thanks

Thanks @Ronit05 ,

Hi,

facing issue with default value of primary lookup to set at edit form. could you please suggest any option.

i have used a dropdown control rather than using combo box in power apps.

please suggest.

@amodtiwari ,

This is an old post, but you if you must use lookup columns (they are not necessary in with Power Apps), you need a Combo Box (and then it is not easy if you have changed the Items away from Choices(FieldName))
