Hi Experts,

I have used the Date Picker and made its Editable by doing Is Editable true.

But only flaw I am getting that Date Picker is accepting 31 April as 1st May, 30 Feb as 1st March etc.

how can I restrict this.

Thanks.

Hi @Prajnya ,

This is one of the dangers of free-form text when you unlock a control that is designed to restrict the user to valid input. It is I suspect trying to be helpful, but unfortunately there is no setting to change this apparently built-in AI.

Hi @WarrenBelz

Thank you for your answer.

I have given some validation which checks the Date like 32 Dec or 35 Apr or any other invalid date.

But only the case 31 Apr is taking as 01 May, 29 Feb is taking as 01 Mar. In this case user will get confused.

So please help if we can put any validation.

@Prajnya ,

Firstly, you have to select a date first, then edit it (so manually-typed-in dates simply do not work).

The formula

Text(
    DatePickerName.SelectedDate,
    ShortDate
)

works fine, but shows 1 May and 1 March for 31 April and 29 February and you cannot use the IsError function as the results are valid dates. I also thought of testing for 1 May or 1 March (which is easily possible), but this will not work as the user may actually want to enter these dates. The best you could do here is warn them if either of those dates are used to check that is what they actually want to enter.

This appears to be an unfortunate bug and there is no test I can think of other than the suggestion above.

Hi @WarrenBelz ,

Thank you for your response.

I did not get any solution still thinking to convince the User that 31 Apr is by default 1st May in PowerApps.

It is the conclusion for my side.

Hi @Prajnya ,

The solution is that you cannot do it.

Up to you, but marking as such helps other people with the same issue find it and stops them wasting time on it.
