Effect of having multiple fields for each data card in app

I have a requirement of migrating a very complex InfoPath form to PowerApp. I have attached the InfoPath form screenshot of a small part of my form.

Now considering the dragging of data cards do not work in PowerApp and having a complex design, I am planning to add a duplicate input field for many of my fields and hide the datacards from the app. Adding a duplicate custom field will allow me dragging fields on the PowerApp.

I will then map the custom fields to datacard so submit functionality will work easily without any overhead.

But that will be overhead since I am now having 2 fields for each field in SharePoint list.

Can I use this approach? Will this overhead be considerably high?

Or is there any other way I should use?

I have around 150-175 fields in the SharePoint list.

Re: Effect of having multiple fields for each data card in app

Hi @sparanjape ,

Your idea is very interesting.

This approach works well and does make the form layout less stressful. But it's certainly going to double the pressure on the App at least.

Therefore, I suggest you use Form to optimize your app.

To know more about Form layout, you can refer to this docs: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/working-with-form-layout

Best regards,

Sik
