Either App OnStart is not working or SQL View are not working.

I have defined a couple of SQL Views in my PowerApp. I am loading them both during the App OnStart. This is my code:

Clear(Frequencies);
ClearCollect(
    Frequencies,
    {
        ID: 0,
        FrequencyString: "Select..."
    },
    vw_PPM_Frequency
);
Clear(CheckTypes);
ClearCollect(
    CheckTypes,
    {
        ID: 0,
        CheckType: "Select..."
    },
    vw_PPM_CheckTypes
);

Each time I open in PowerApps studio, the collections are both empty. If I go to Data > vw_PPM_Frequency and click the three dots and Refresh - the data  appears. This is no good, and doesn't work in production. How do I ensure my data loads every time?

When you open your app in Power Apps studio do you use the context menu to Run OnStart?  App onStart won't run automatically in the studio or when previewing an app.  It only works when running a production copy of the app.  Also building extensive collections in OnStart won't always work because of the timing.  Its usually best to use a Splash screen at the start of the app and run that kind of code in the OnVisible of the splash screen.
