Enable Attachments on Table - Dataverse for Teams

Is it possible to enable attachments (including notes and files) in Dataverse for Teams?  I don't see the same checkbox that appears in the CDS, and using a file type column isn't quite the same thing.

Hi @rjhale ,

Could you tell me:

Do you want to create powerapps in teams?

Then do you want to use the enable attachments function?

If so, unfortunately, teams does not support this feature currently.

However, You can use another method to achieve it.

The point is to create an app in the powerapps platform (https://make.powerapps.com) and import it into teams.

I've made a test for your reference:

1\ Create an entity with attachment function

2\ Create an app and save it.

3\ Import the app into teams.

Yes, that is exactly what I was attempting to do.  I decided to spin up a new SharePoint list in the same Team and save my attachments there for the time being.  Since the table I was attempting to enable this on has a ton of columns, and I don't see a way to export/import into the CDS first, I think I'll stick with the SP list for the time being.

@v-xiaochen-msft I'm marking your reply as a solution as I think that would work for future solutions.  I would love to see the "enable attachments" option made available in PowerApps/Dataverse for Teams.

what would be a solution if the app has already been built in Teams / dataverse?

Thanks,

Terry

Hi @v-xiaochen-msft

thanks for the info, one question is, would there be a link between the file and record, or the attachments just stored in a location?

thanks

Fred
