Enable combobox on clicking edit icon

Hey,

I am trying to implement a functionality where a combobox will be enabled on clicking edit icon. I tried these few methods:

Edit Icon -> OnSelect -> Set(Combobox, DisplayMode.Edit)

Edit Icon -> OnSelect -> Set(Skils(label), DisplayMode.Edit)

Edit Icon -> OnSelect -> Set(Skills(Public View in the entity), DisplayMode.Edit)

However, nothing seems to work. Any help is appreciated!!

Thanks.

Re: Enable combobox on clicking edit icon

We can set a variable to do that:

Set a Variable OnSelect of the Icon:
Set(EnableCombo,true)

Then Set this OnVisible of the Screen:
Set(EnableCombo,false)

Finally on the DisplayMode of the ComBobox:
If(EnableCombo,DisplayMode.Edit,DisplayMode.Disabled)

Thus when you select the Icon, the Combobox will be enabled.

Re: Enable combobox on clicking edit icon

Hi @Anonymous

On click of Icon:

Set(varCbxMode, DisplayMode.Edit);

DisplayMoe property of combo box:

varCbxMode

varCbxMode - is a variable which stores the mode of the combox box

OnVisible property of screen (This will ensure when you come to this screen combox box is disabled by default)

Set(varCbxMode, DisplayMode.Disabled);

Re: Enable combobox on clicking edit icon

I repeated the exact same steps and the Combobox still appears enabled before clicking the edit icon

Re: Enable combobox on clicking edit icon

@RezaDorrani No success using varCbxMode. I also used SetEnable as instructed by the earlier post with no success

Re: Enable combobox on clicking edit icon

@Anonymous

Both the approaches mentioned above should work.

check the following:

1-  OnVisible will only fire if you go to a different screen and then navigate back to the screen.

2- make sure you are setting the combox box property displaymode correctly

3-  if both above also do not work - then share screen shots of OnVisible function, ComboBox DisplayMode property and OnSelect function of the edit icon
