The new experimental formula bar is much improved in functionality/layout of key items, but I am finding it much slower than the previous version. When trying to type in something the intellisense is delayed by 1-2 seconds and often times the property will no be picked up if you manually type it. For example, when typing the Width coordinate property for a control:
Control.Width --> Typing "Control." or "Control.W" will result in a noticeable delay before intellisense appears suggesting the properties of the control. If I manually type in "Control.Width" and navigate to something else before letting powerapps "catch up" it will give me an error and the text will be underlined red indicating an error. To clear the error I click behind the expression (in this case at the end of Control.Width) and it will appear to recognize what I wrote after a second and the error goes away.
This laggy behavior does not happen all the time, but it happens enough that I find myself naturally waiting midway through a formula to ensure the intellisense catches up. Again, the general improvement of property categorization, etc. is much better and I will keep using the experimental feature - however hopefully the enhanced formula bar speeds up before reaching public preview or GA.

Hi @DKassian ,
I just tested and I cannot reproduce your issue. Actually with the enhanced formula bar, the speed is improved and the intellisense doesn't have any delay from my side. I also tested with ControlName.Width, it doesn't give me any error after manually typing it.
Would you please try to test with different web browsers, maybe another devices to see if the issue persists?
Regards,
Mona

I have absolutely experienced this as well. It varies day to day, so I am assuming it is a connection issue? All I know is that some days are much harder to manage than others.
