Error message : The $top expression "infinity" is not valid

Hello,

On a List form, I have this popup message which appears recently :

The $top expression "Infinity" is not valid

I saw other threads with the same error message but they always discussed about gallery, which I didn't use.

How to solve it ?

Thanks.

Did you already try the function FirstN() ?

Re: Error message : The $top expression "infinity" is not valid

Hi @Anonymous

Could you please share more details of your issue?

What is the data source?

Is the datasource SP list?

Could you please reference this?

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Expressions-and-Formulas/Operation-problem/td-p/325199

As an temporary fixed solution, please consider save your SP List records into a Collection, then use the Collection as data source in your app instead of the Original SP List data source.

Set the OnStart property of the App control or OnVisible property of the current screen to following:

ClearCollect(RecordsCollection, 'YourSPList')

then set the Items property of Gallery to following:

RecordsCollection

then set the datasource property of Form to following:

RecordsCollection

then re-publish your app, and re-load it again, check if the issue is solved.

Also please check if there are records existed in your SP List, if not, please add a record into your SP List in your SP List page directly, then refresh the SP List data source in your app, check if the issue is solved.

Best Regards.

Yumia

Re: Error message : The $top expression "infinity" is not valid

@Sijts > No, why I would use that ?

@v-yuxima-msft > It's a SharePoint List, called HISCORE Authorization. The message appears when I click on New or when I edit an item. Because of that, my form isn't showing (only the background and some texts, not the fields).

This bug has appeared 2-3 days ago and my list is not empty.

I tried with a Gallery and a Collection but the message is still here.

Re: Error message : The $top expression "infinity" is not valid

FirstN will retrieve a set number of records, like the first 100 or so.

maybe this will help you conquering the $top error, essentially it is the same

Re: Error message : The $top expression "infinity" is not valid

Hi @Anonymous

Could you please show more details of your SP list structure?

Could you please show more details of your controls and their formula expression in your App?

I try to reproduce the issue on my side.

Best Regards.
