Error on Image using URL

Hi,

I'm having a problem using images with URL.

I'm using a Azure Blob Storage to store the images, and my storage can be read by the public (read access to blobs).

The problem is when I update the image on blob, the old image is replaced with the new, so the new has the SAME URL... But in PowerApps it won't update! You should either develop an Reset function on the image or something, because is not requesting the new image, even if the image is in a Form!!!!!

Resolve this mess, because this is'nt the only problem I'm getting since the last 2 updates... This is very frustating!!!

Best regards,

Jorge Moreira

Re: Error on Image using URL

This should work - how exactly are you using the url? Please provide a screenshot of the formula if possible.

Re: Error on Image using URL

Hi,

As you request the screenshot.
image_expense variable as 3 attributes:

-FileExtension
-FileName

-FileURL

In the FileURL I have the URL that must appear in the image.

Re: Error on Image using URL

So I used an Image control, and I set its Image property, and got a kitten. Suggest you add a Label control and set its Text property to be the same formula.

Re: Error on Image using URL

Also: check the CORS settings on your blob service. I think the default settings may block web apps like PA from reading them. The F12 tools in your browser can assist with diagnosing that.

I enabled CORS and still the same...

Re: Error on Image using URL

Also my problem isn't showing the image, is update the request to the image URL

Re: Error on Image using URL

Try adding a fake query param to the uri when you need to refresh it, eg

Concatenate(FileURL, "?fake=", Text(number_that_changes))

Azure will ignore the query param, but PA will update the uri whenever number_that_changes is updated.

Re: Error on Image using URL

Hi,

This will work because the URL changes, but I suggest to fix this further or implement a functionality that permits to request the URL again. Also, this will be a mess if I change the image a lot of times...

Thanks for the time spent to force solve this.

Re: Error on Image using URL

I think I understand this problem now. I have some images hosted on Google Cloud. If I replace the image, it retains the same file name. The content of the image is detected upon accessing the URL in a web browser, but PowerApps doesn't figure it out.
