Error when publishing a canvas app with custom code component

Hey there!

Today I was trying to publish some minor changes in a canvas app, but it prompted the following error message:

"{"error":{"code":"0x8004f036","message":"The dependent component CustomControl (Id=ya_btd.IframePCF(fd140aaf-4df4-11dd-bd17-0019b9312238)) does not exist. Failure trying to associate it with CanvasApp (Id=948b8666-b5d2-4d87-8fcd-67283036ca84) as a dependency. Missing dependency lookup type = EntityNameLookup."}}".

I'm using a custom code component to embed a PowerBI report within the canvas app and for that I imported this solution https://github.com/yashag2255/iframePCF

Never had problems before, but now I find myself in trouble to publish my changes in the canvas app. I deleted the custom control from the canvas, but the problem is still there. I also checked the solutions in the enviroment and the solution is still there, so I don't know what else to do.

I just need something that points me in the right direction to start troubleshooting this problem, since I'm not expert in custom components.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards.

I'm now getting the same error publishing a calendar control on a canvas app. The problem started yesterday.  I've logged a support ticket.

@amanverma We are seeing the same problem. Showed up for us about 2 days ago.

Assuming you haven’t found any solution yet ?

@amanverma Not yet. I just opened a ticket with microsoft because it appears many are seeing this issue currently as there's many forums with users asking for help. I'll keep you posted on what I hear.

@Jakegolden Thank you very much, will look forward to that.

@amanverma So we actually found a solution while waiting to hear back from Microsoft. There was a faulty connection to one of our flows. Perhaps during an update the connection was lost? dunno. But essentially we just terminated that connection to the flow.

Below is what I am referring to as "connections". You should see, or I saw anyways, a connection in there that says "No Connection". Remove that one.
