I am getting server errors on every app. This started on or around Monday 1/21/2019.
Conditions:
- Appears to be happening with On-Prem gateway calls with SQL connectors
- Ocurr at Run-time.
- Some statements that make calls to the SQL connectors show red "X" with "Server Error" message.
- Despite the errors, it appears that data is being retrieved, and is accurate.
- If an MS Flow .run command contains a call via an SQL connector, and that statement fails, the .run fails.
Mitigations:
- Evaluated my license scheme. Upgraded all users to PA Plan1 (I had Plan 1 already)
- Posted another thread with session IDs, and that has not been updated by microsoft support for two days.
I NEED HELP!! Yes, that is me pleading. This is a production application set that is affecting our business!

Hi @martinav,
Which PowerApps license do your end users own?
Currently, there are some updates on Office licenses which include PowerApps feature. The Custom Connector and On-Premises data gateway would not be supported within Office 365 Business, Office 365 Enterprise E1, Office 365 Enterprise E2 or Office 365 F1 licenses.
Please check the follownig article for more details:
https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/support/
So if your end users have Office 365 Business, Office 365 Enterprise E1, Office 365 Enterprise E2 or Office 365 F1 licenses, they could not use On-premises gateway and custom connector functionality now.
In addition, you could also consider go to PowerApps Pricing page to check these limits:
https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/
Best regards,
Per the mitigations in my post, I have had plan 1 for many months. My users were updated to plan 1 on Tuesday. Regardless, I get the errors just like everyone else.
Hi
I am suddenly getting server errors too.
THis has only started since 3.19012.9 was released in Europe. (24/01/2019)
It looks as if the dreaded ETAG error has made an unwelcome return.
Can someone from Microsoft have a look at this please ?
Thanks
Nigel
Is the app running properly regardless? With mine, it seems the data is all good. It is also mostly (if not all) related to calls through the On-Premesis gateway to my SQL server.
Looks like ETAG is back.... I have reports from users this morning:
Hi @martinav
I am using SharePoint Online.
I am not seeing any stored items in the list.
Regards
Nigel
Looks like a different set of conditions than from my post. I have had no issues with sharepoint calls. I believe its only calls through my On-Prem gateway using SQL connectors.
