Export collection to csv column separator and characters issues

Hi all,

I have an issue with exporting a collection to an excel file.

I followed the instructions form Shane Young's video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imhxy3REgXc

But I have a couple issues in the csv file created:

First, the column separator doesn't work, everything get concatenated in the same column.

I belive it has to do with the fact that in the french version, we use semicolon and not comma as separator.

Second, what should be my second colmun has " " around the values that shouldn't be there, while the first one who is identical doesn't (maybe it's linked with the coulumn issue)

Hello @GGBB 

I think this is an encoding issue. Please try using UTF on the automate.

First go to PowerAutomate:

For that part, I think, you are just using the code

body('Create_CSV_table')

Change that to below.

concat(uriComponentToString('%EF%BB%BF'),body('Create_CSV_table'))

What it does is add the UTF encoding to your file by adding the string "uriComponentToString('%EF%BB%BF')"

I already have this code here, I had another issue with "€" being changed to "€" and this code corrected it but the columns are still merged

Hello @GGBB 

That's a normal characteristic of CSV files. You can you the Data Tool, Text-to-Column to make it adjusted in excel. You may keep the GIF below in case you need to instruct colleagues.
