FILTER POWERBI EMBEDDED

hi everybody

I have a powerbi embedded in powerapps.

The filter was working but some reason it's not working anymore.

Use formula:

"https://app.powerbi.com/embed?dashboardId=cc499e3a-53e8-4c63-9715-9b83d8ff3ca0&tileId=0fba86d8-9f35-... eq" & varID

I took the dashboard from PowerBI connector. I did same change in powerbi and then it's not working. Tried to delete, insert again and nothing. Delete connector and connect again, nothing..

The filter is working fine when outside the powerapps (tried in url with ?)

Any hint? VarID is a variable with choosen ID

Thanks in advance

Hello @alessandramaced , PowerBI controls in Power Apps now have a new property "AllowNewAPI", set that to true and the filter should work as expected.

Hi @alessandramaced ,

Please refer to below official doc:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/controls/control-power-bi-tile#pass-a-p...

TileURL syntax:

append filter syntax:

&$filter=<TableName>/<ColumnName> eq '<Value>'

and note that:

The parameter will filter a value in the dataset of the report where the tile originates. However, filtering feature has the following limitations:

  • Only one filter can be applied.
  • Only the eq operator is supported.
  • Field type must be string.
  • Filtering is only available on pinned visualization tiles. It's not supported for pinned reports.
  • R and Python script visuals cannot be filtered.

So, on your end, please try and use another column rather than ID column.

Hope this helps.
