FLow comsumption

Hello,

1. I have an adminstrative account for my company,

For flow comsumption, if I have 10 office E1 licence,

Since one licence have 2000API/24hrs, does it mean the total usgae for all the user under my adminstrative account have 20k API/24hrs ? Or individual have 2000API/24 each, they do not combine?

2. Is there any way to check how many flow i have consume?

3. How am i notify if my flow exceeded?

4. If i have entitled free flow licence (i have 10k free flow licence since i have an administrative account),

how many flow can i use per days? Or it will used the amount of API i have for each day?

Thank you.

Hi @liuzhihui ,

Just want to add what he said @dynamicsedge ,

1)Do you want to know whether the flow storage limit is limited in the talent?

Yes, the storage limit is for Per license capacity(shared capacity across all PowerApps and Power Automate usage).

Per licence have 2000API/24hrs, so the shared storage in the talent is 20k API/24hrs.

2)You could check this in flow admin center:

https://admin.flow.microsoft.com/

I agree his points on 3)and 4). The guidance that he showed is very good.

  1. We believe they combine and are pooled in this case.
  2. https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/ -> Analytics -> Power Automate  - this is the new way to check it.
    1. Or if you prefer the legacy way, it's here: https://admin.powerapps.com/tenant/quotas
  3. Microsoft may send a polite email if it is exceeded the daily API telling you to buy more. They might not usually shut down or suspend anything though, and you may be allowed to go slightly over the daily API limits, within reasonable ranges.
    1. "While occasional and reasonable overages will be tolerated, customers exceeding purchased capacity should adjust their purchase quantity per standard Microsoft terms to remain in compliance." (from Power Apps Power Automate and Power Virtual Agents Licensing Guide - Jan 2020.pdf - attached)
  4. We're somewhat unsure on "free flow" license. We suspect they will not increase your API limit, and we suspect that Free Flow license may contain restrictions and caveats. One thing that is pretty clear in the January 2020 licensing guide, for example, is that suppose you have only Office 365 licenses. In this case, an Office 365 license is not a PowerApps license - while Office 365 comes with some PowerApps use rights, Office 365 license are not PowerApps licenses - that means, there are certain caveats such as not being able to use premium connectors in this case, and some other caveats. We are not sure whether Flow Free has similar restrictions like that or not.
