Failed to load [resource]. The specified record was not found.

Hi,

When I run my Canvas PowerApp I get the following error:

Failed to load MainMenu. The specified record was not found. Server response: No table was found with name 'MainMenu'.
clientRequestId: [GUID] serverRequestId: [GUID]

This name corresponds to a gallery control that is on the default start screen. I deleted the start screen (not sure if the error occurred before this point) and then tried to run the app through the WebPlayer (see screenshot). I have subsequently restored a previous version but this too fails with the same error, even though the MainMenu gallery item is now present.

This is really unfortunate. Please can you advise how to resolve this?

Thanks,

Kaine

Re: Failed to load [resource]. The specified record was not found.

It seems that the problem was on my side. I was trying to run the Powerapp without having published the version that I was editing. I didn't realise that I had to do this, but it all makes sense now. So it was trying to run some previous version of the PowerApp that was clearly faulty.

So, to reiterate, I published my PowerApp, refreshed the PowerApps list screen (failing to do this results in the load of a previously published PowerApp), and then run the PowerApp.

P.S. - There was no control, variable, collection or anything in my app called 'MainMenu'. It was linked to the previous version.

Re: Failed to load [resource]. The specified record was not found.

I'm guessing you had a Table named MainMenu vs. a screen.  Perhaps one that contained a list of on-screen text or button status', etc?  If so, then it might have been initialized on that screen.

If you put in your OnStart event does this change the error/behavior?

Re: Failed to load [resource]. The specified record was not found.

Hi @Kaine,

Could you please share a bit more about your data source?

Please consider take a try to rename the screen name into a different name, then re-publish your app, check if the issue is solved.

In addition, please consider take a try to turn off "Delayed load" option and "Improved app rendering (final validation)" option within Advanced settings of App setting of your app, re-publish your app, check if the issue is solved.

If the issue still exists, please consider take a try to re-create a new connection to your MainMenu data source within your app, then try your app again, check if the issue is solved.
