I noticed clicking on a button in the Action menu no longer selects the applicable function for the control i.e. Clicking On timer end would select the OnTimerEnd function. This no longer works. Was this intentional?
I also believe some highlighting features that were very helpful are no gone. Such as, the ability to highlight or select a curly brace or parenthesis, and the matching brace or parenthesis would be highlighted, or highlighting/selecting a word/variable would highlight/select that word/variable throughout the function.
Can we get these features back?
@v-xida-msft - saw you responded to a comment about the bar elsewhere.
Hi @Dlabar ,
Thanks for your feedback. Do you mean that it would not select corresponding function for control when you click the button under Action Menu?
Do you enable the "Enhanced formula bar" feature in your PowerApps?
Based on the formula that you mentioned, I have made a test on my side (do not enable "Enhanced formula bar" feature), and don't have the issue that you mentioned. Please check the following GIF screenshot for more details:
I have also made a test on my side, if you have enabled the "Enhanced formula bar" option within Advanced settings of your App settings of your app, the issue would show up as you mentioned.
Currently, the "Enhanced formula bar" feature is still a Experimental feature in PowerApps, there are still some limits with it. As an fixed solution, please consider turn off the "Enhanced formula bar" feature in your app, then re-publish your canvas app.
If you would like the Action Menu button functionality to work as before along with the new released "Enhanced formula bar" feature, pease consider submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum:
I have some feedback on this as well. When I am working on a particular element, such as a label, I would prefer that it remember the property that I am editing. Currently, when I click off of the element then click back onto it, the property dropdown changes to a default. Labels bring me to "text" and a timer to "duration." I would prefer that it return me to the property that I was on when I clicked off of the element.
Another feature I would like to ask for is a key to minimize the formula bar. I often work with it expanded to see large chunks of code but it's cumbersome to grab the mouse to minimize the formula bar before continuing work. Being able to hit a key, such as escape would be fantastic.
Other than that, great improvements, folks. Really enjoying it.
