Field not visible dropdown list

Dear community

First of all, I am a beginner in PowerApps, so please have mercy for my silly questions...

I am building my first system composed as follows

  • Database in SharePoint as a List
  • Mobile App (Smartphone Layout) for technician in the field to enter some data
  • App (Tablet Layout) for backoffice to see and possibly modify the data entered by the technicians

I have finished DB and mobile App, and I am now starting to work on the second App.

In my DB, I made a field "Status" as choice type with 4 different possibilities.

In the App, I want the user to be able to filter among these 4 different status

I inserted a dropdown list, and linked it to my DB, but the field "Status" remains invisible... I have no possibility to select it.

Do you have any Idea?

Well I think I managed to do it by myself 🙂

By selecting the gallery, I added following code into Item

Filter('Non conformités';Statut.Value = d_filtre_status.Selected.Value)

Now I only see content in my gallery that matches to the value of "statut".

2 last questions I guess for this topic though.

  1. How could I display "all" data by default, and only filter them if one filter is active?
  2. How can I mix several filters. Typically one filter for the status, one filter for creating date etc... ?

Thanks for your kind support

Hi Nils,

try it in your DropDownList "Items"

Choices(yourSPList.Status)

Hope this helps

if the above doesn't work, you can also try the below in the items property

Filter( Sharepoint List, 'Column')

Thanks to both of you for your replies

I managed to display the field of my "Statut" column in a Dropdown List that can select more than 1 item. This point is now okay with command

Filter(Gallery1;'Non conformités'.Statut.value)

But now comes next issue, my Gallery does not get filtered 🙂

Any clue ? My Dropdown list shows an error, but I have no idea what it could be...

By the way, do you know as well why with exactly the same command I don't see my field in a simple dropdown list ? I only see "1, 2, 3"...

Thanks again for your kind support
