File System Connector, Gateways and PDFs and PowerApps

Hello World!

I am working on connecting some of my local PDF-files into my powerapps using a Gateway (and filepath) so I can view the PDFs related to a given dataset. I succeeded while using SQL, Azure Blob Storage (in Azure Storage). Does anyone know if it is possible to use the PDF-viewer control using an on-premise Gateway (with HTTPS-connection), File system and SQL? 🙂

Best Regards

Re: File System Connector, Gateways and PDFs and PowerApps

Hi @ssaevig ,

Do you want to use PDF viewer to display the data from File system and SQL?

I'm afraid it's not supported to make this currently in PowerApps.

For now, PDF viewer's Document property could only be set to URL.

Waht's more , it supports only HTTPS links, not HTTP.

Here's a doc about PDF viewer's limit for your reference:

Thank you for quick response, @v-yutliu-msft !

Aha, ok I understand. To be able to view a PDF in PowerApps, a HTTPS URL adress is required (as one can create in sharepoint and other places).

I was thinking to store the URL adress and browse it through the PDF-viewer controll.  Do you know by any chance how one can create access links from fildes on a network-drive? I know it is possible to create an access key to each file in Microsoft Azure Blob Storage. Do you know if there is any way one can do that with a network-drive? Flow? Some special software?

Again, Thank you for your response
