I have 2 sharepoint list as "Offers" and "Products". Product list has Offer name in it to make relation.
On my power app, i have started my application with Data Source as "Offers" and created 3 basic pages as , List, Detail and Add/Edit page. Now on my Detail Page what I want is with the offer details want to display list of products which are associated with this offer. For that I have added another data source of the offers on the application.
Now, on my detail page I have added new listbox control and apply formula to filters products and display on details page based on the offer selected. Formula I have written as "Filter([@Products],[@Products].OfferName = ThisItem.Title").Title" which ideally returns me the table of filtered product associated with the selected offer, but everytime it give me error at "=" sign in logical test area. I dont understand what I am making wrong hence this is not working. I am looking to display filtered products in the listbox.
Please try to insert the list box into the corresponding data card (by default the card is locked, we need to unlock it to insert controls), then we should be able to use the Thisitem function.
In addition, try to change the formula with the following format:
Filter([@Products],ThisItem.Title in [@Products].OfferName)
Add a screenshot for reference:
This gives no error, but the result is not always right, using "=" seems not working for the title field in SharePoint list.
I will try some more testing from my side.
In addition, take a try with the search function, this should work:
I have OfferName as look up field in Products List with single value selection. On my offer Details Page, I have added new data Card and inserted Listbox. Now when I have added formula suggested by you it still not returns me the result and display readline below the thisitem.title.
Also, I have tried in other way, Now I have added ProductsName as Lookup field in OffersList and tried with single selection/ Multiple selection option but still it didnt shows me the result. I have tried with Search and Filter both the option.
Offer List structure:
There is no need to add an additional datacard.
See: Understand Data cards.
By the way, could you please show me the screenshot of your added data card?
