Filter Gallery Based in 3 Conditions

Hi There,

I would like to know if is possible to sort/filter my gallery based in 3 options?

Currently I have my gallery items =

SortByColumns(Filter([@Inventory],TextSearchBox1.Text in Title || TextSearchBox1.Text in SerialNumber),"ID",If(SortDescending1,Ascending,Ascending))

I might say so far so good.

But I would like to also get my gallery filter if I choose a value from a drop drown or if I select a option from a "Radio"

My drop drown items = Sort(Distinct(IT_Inventory,CreatedYear),Result,Descending)

Resulting in 2019, 2020..etc

And My Radio1 =

Option 1 = "Active"

Option 2 = "Non Active"

How can I incorporate those filters to see my gallery?

Thanks in advance,

Regards

Hi @sajarac ,

try this:

SortByColumns(
    Filter(
        [@IT_Inventory],
       (TextSearchBox1.Text in Title || TextSearchBox1.Text in SerialNumber) && Status.Value = Radio1.Selected.Value && CreatedYear = DropYearCreated.Selected.Result
    ),
    "ID",
    If(
        SortDescending1,
        Ascending,
        Ascending
    )
)

Hi @sajarac ,

Could you tell me what is the column you want to filter against in the list? is it a choice field or a single line of text?

For a single line of text with dropdown & radio:

Sort(Distinct(Filter(IT_Inventory,clmName=Dropdowncontrol.Selected.Value),CreatedYear),Result,Descending)
Sort(Distinct(Filter(IT_Inventory,clmName=RadioControl.Selected.Value),CreatedYear),Result,Descending)

For a choice filed with dropdown & radio:

Sort(Distinct(Filter(IT_Inventory,clmName.value=Dropdowncontrol.Selected.Value),CreatedYear),Result,Descending)

Sort(Distinct(Filter(IT_Inventory,clmName.Value=RadioControl.Selected.Value),CreatedYear),Result,Descending)

Hi, let me explain again:

My gallery items =

SortByColumns(Filter([@Inventory],TextSearchBox1.Text in Title || TextSearchBox1.Text in SerialNumber),"ID",If(SortDescending1,Ascending,Ascending))

I also have a dropdown, this dropdown is from a column in my Share Point List. Basicalley I am taken the "Created Date" and extracting the Year. so the result :

Sort(Distinct(Inventory,CreatedYear),Result,Descending)

Also I have a column in my SPL = "Status", This column is a choice Column with Active or Returned.

I have placed a radio button beside my gallery with the same options.

Now I would like to sort / filter my gallery and search in my gallery if I select a different year from my drop down or If I select Active or Return, etc.

Hi @sajarac ,

Try this:

SortByColumns(Filter([@Inventory],TextSearchBox1.Text in Title || TextSearchBox1.Text in SerialNumber && (Status.Value =  RadioControl.Selected.Value || Year(Created) = Dropddowncontrol.Selected.Value),"ID",If(SortDescending1,Ascending,Ascending))

Hi,

This little variation partially works, I mean I can see the items in my gallery, but when I select from my Radio1, nothing happens.

SortByColumns(Filter([@Inventory],TextSearchBox1.Text in Title || TextSearchBox1.Text in SerialNumber && (Status.Value = Radio1.Selected.Value || CreatedYear = DropYearCreated.Selected.Result)),"ID",If(SortDescending1,Ascending,Ascending))

Any idea?

Thank you kindly.

Hi,

I just switch to this one is sorting fine but also there is something that is wrong:

The first item in my Share Point lists always goes at the top regardless of my choice

SortByColumns(
Filter(
[@IT_Inventory],
TextSearchBox1.Text in Title || TextSearchBox1.Text in SerialNumber && Status.Value = Radio1.Selected.Value && CreatedYear = DropYearCreated.Selected.Result
),
"ID",
If(
SortDescending1,
Ascending,
Ascending
)
)

Hi @sajarac ,

try this:

SortByColumns(
    Filter(
        [@IT_Inventory],
       (TextSearchBox1.Text in Title || TextSearchBox1.Text in SerialNumber) && Status.Value = Radio1.Selected.Value && CreatedYear = DropYearCreated.Selected.Result
    ),
    "ID",
    If(
        SortDescending1,
        Ascending,
        Ascending
    )
)
