I have a two SharePoint list: List 1 and List 2. List 1 has a Lookup column.
List1 lookup column name is "Event".
Lookup column data source is List2.
Ex: List 2 Looks like below
So in List1 Lookup field I need only Event1 In the Drop down (Where Status is "Active" only those values I need in the Drop down) How to apply formula for this in Powerapps?
I was trying formula like below:
List2.Event;Choices(Filter[@'List2'], Status = "Active"))
Appreciate your help.
Hi @MaruthiKiran ,
When you refer to Lookup columns, I have assumed it is a SharePoint lookup (so the actual value would exist in List1 pulled from List 2?) Unless you have renamed it, it would be something like Event:Status. If I am wrong, you can disregard the following.
Try drop-down value
There may be some delegation issue as I believe a lookup column result is not delegable.
It is for this (and many other reasons) I totally avoid SharePoint Lookups as you can do the same query in PowerApps across two tables far easier. They also present challenges when writing back data other than a straight submit form from a choices list (I mention this as you will need to save it using the #Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedReference) .
@MaruthiKiran I have attached screenshots for your requirement which parent, child list and powerapps screen with Dropdown and forumla. Please let me know if that works.
