Filter Shaerpoint "choice" field

I like to filter a dropdown list.  The list "Main" has 2 lookup fields. One from list "MainGroup" and one from "SubGroup".

I have changed the screens in PowerApps, and like to filter the SubGroup field based on the value in MainGroup.

eg.

If i select "Projects" in the main group, the subgroup field should be "Documentation", "Calculation","Drawings", and if i select "Consultation" in the Main group, the SubGroup dropdown list should only show "Training".

What is the correct syntax to make a "filter" on the SubGroup field?

Re: Filter Shaerpoint "choice" field

Hi @TrulsB ,

Could you please share a bit more about the "MainGroup" field in your SubGroup list? Is it a LookUp type field which reference values from the Title field in MainGroup List?

I assume that the "MainGroup" field in your SubGroup list is also a LookUp type column, which reference values from the Title field in MainGroup List.

I have made a test on my side, please consider take a try with the following workaround:

Set the Items property of the SubGroup ComboBox in your Edit form (connects to Main SP List) to following:

Filter(
       Choices(Main.SubGroup),
       Value in Filter(SubGroup, MainGroup.Value = MainGroupComboBox.Selected.Value).Title
)

Please consider take a try with above solution, check if the issue is solved.

Re: Filter Shaerpoint "choice" field

Hi @TrulsB ,

Using the names on your example, and MainGallery for the top screen the Items for the second gallery would be

Filter(
   Main,
   MainGroup = MainGallery.Selected.MainGroup
)

Re: Filter Shaerpoint "choice" field

The MainGroup Field in the SubGroup list, is a Sharepoint lookup Field - looking up from MainGroup list (Title Field)
