Filter a single column of data by a dynamic number of options

How can I filter a single column of data by a dynamic number of options?

For context – I have a SharePoint list with a column listing country names. When a user opens the App, only countries relevant to them will be displayed in a Gallery. Which countries are relevant to each user is controlled by a separate SharePoint list.

At present my Gallery data automatically filters based on the country the user is assigned to. The way I have done this is to use a simple lookup function which looks up the users' name and returns their associated country. The Gallery is then filtered by that country.

How would the revise my current Gallery filter to accommodate a user being assigned to more than one country? So in the above example, the Gallery data should be filtered by countries associated to Argentina and Costa Rica if Ami Khan is the user.

My issue here is that this data is not static, so a user could be assigned to Nth number of countries. Fortunately the user list will not be more than 100 records so would not hit any delegation issues.

Any advice would be appreciated
