Filter gallery by search and check box

Hi all,

On the "Dashboard" of my app, I have a gallery that shows all of my reports (Share Point entries), which I am now filtering based on certain Sharepoint data fields in the "search box".

I am planning on adding a "check box" to my SharePoit list to specify that the report has been processed and is no longer an open project.

Is there a way to add a "check box filter input" that plays into the gallery filter, so that in addition to filtering by the search bar, I can also check off "only active reports", and then only get a list of reports that do not have "checked checkbox"

I'd think comparing that column value against the value of the Checkbox (true/false) would be your best bet

SortByColumns(
   Filter(MYLIST,
          (
             StartsWith( Searchcriteria1, TextSearchBox1.Text )
                ||
             StartsWith( Searchcriteria2, TextSearchBox1.Text )
          )
             &&
          Processedreport = CheckBoxName.Value
   ),
   "Created",
   If(SortDescending1, Ascending, Descending )
)

and if it won't compare the actual true/false value to your column (ie if your column is text) then just replace that line with Processedreport = Text(CheckBoxName.Value)

Could you try that out and let me know how you get on?

Thanks!

Sancho

I would add a true/false column to your sharepoint list and then have the checkbox patch that value back to the sharepoint list for that item, that way when you filter you can just use ProcessedReport=true

Thank you @iAm_ManCat , I'll try that out. May I ask how I can link that into my search criteria? I'll put a checkbox on my dashboard, and then I'll need to link that into the filter so that if the checkbox is selected, only the reports with "Processedreport=true" in the sharepoint list are displayted.  I'm not usre how to build that into the filter though..

Here is an example of what my filter looks like now.

SortByColumns(Filter(MYLIST, StartsWith( Searchcriteria1, TextSearchBox1.Text ) || StartsWith( Searchcriteria12 TextSearchBox1.Text ) ), "Created", If(SortDescending1, Ascending, Descending ))

Thanks again
