Filter one column

Hi,

In my list i have a Department column. Following is my list,

Name	Department
Suresh	Java
Dhinesh	Java
Suresh	Sharepoint
Dhinesh	Sharepoint
Dany	.net

Now i want to know about how to filter Department coulmn values only?

Thanks for your reply man.. And am using showcolumns man. ShowColumns(List,"Columnname").. This also working man.
