Filter remove case sensitivity

When I try using Lower() function at the column of my filter, it always return false please refer to the pics below. But if I remove the Lower() function for my filter It returns the required value. I need the Lower() for the column because other email address on my sharepoint has a combination of capital and small letters.

Re: Filter remove case sensitivity

Hi!

If you're trying to filter by email address, it's also worth noting a few things:

1. (tip) During App OnStart, set your User or User().Email to a variable - this means you can refer to it elsewhere quickly and it does not need to do a network lookup every time you call it as it is now a static variable

Set( CurrentUserEmail, Lower(User().Email) )

2. (possibly the problem) The addresses you have stored in SharePoint, are these email addresses or UPN's (User Principal Name)? User().Email actually gets you the user's UPN, which is like their domain login address, whereas using the Office365Users connector we can get a person's Actual email address (as UPN and Email address can be completely different, UPN might be Joe.B@bigcompany.com but email address might be Joe.Bloggs@secondarydomain.co.uk - in many companies these will be the same due to Single-Sign-On requirements, but not always)

3. (other workaround) Would it not be easier to create a Power Automate flow that goes through every SharePoint item in that list and replaces the email address with Lower(Email)?

Cheers,

Sancho
