I'm having a problem I'm hoping someone may have seen before or have a solution to. Basically my nested gallery works perfectly as expected in the browser studio but testing on a mobile device is showing a blank gallery.
I have a job gallery, and in the onvisible event of the screen I build tw collections with a list of dates and a list of all jobs. Then a couple of variables to find the first and last days of the workweek... essentially...Edited slightly for clarity
ClearCollect(JG_AllJobs,Filter(MyTable,EmployeeID = UserID);
ClearCollect(DateRange,'Formula to build a list of days from 1 week past to 2 weeks future-ColumnName_Ddate');
All of these work and I have tested this on mobile using data tables to show the collections, all working fine. But I want to have a main gallery with the list of dates, and a subgallery with a list of jobs on that date.
I have a blank horizontal gallery with...
[Items] = Filter(DateRange,(Ddate>=JG_WeekStart)&&(Ddate<=DateAdd(JG_WeekStart,6,Days)))
Then inside that gallery a blank vertical with...
[Items] = Filter(JG_AllJobs,DateValue(Job_Date) = ThisItem.Ddate)
In the web browser studio this gives me a main gallery with the dates of the week listed horizontally, and a lst of each job on any given day listed vertically below. But when testing this on mobile I get a list of dates working in the horizontal gallery, but nothing showing in the vertical gallery.
Has anyone seen anything like this before?
Hi @seanbrogan ,
What is the os version of your mobile? Have you tested with multiple mobiles? Please make sure that you have updated PowerApps application in your mobile phone to the latest version.
Is it necassary for both the top gallery and the nested gallery to use the same data source? Could this be the issue?
My top level gallery uses a data source that just lists every date between a start and end date, and the nested gallery uses a seperate data source that lists all jobs for the logged in employee.
Ok so now I have narrowed this down such that it is a device issue. Works fine on a samsung device but does not work on new iPads.
Is there any way around this or what can I do?
Hi @seanbrogan ,
I have found a similar thread below.
It seems that this issue is known, and please try the workaround in it.
Thank you for your response.
Unfortuantely the work around of replacing the gallery with a dropdown is not an acceptable solution to this issue.
Can you tell me if this is on Microsofts plan to repair?
This is really not acceptable to have powerapps work on some devices but not others. Especially with the huge increase in price we are facing with the license changes.
