Filtering by multiple selection does not work

I am creating powerapps and I am quite mad.

In my app I have two sharepoint list.

The first ist authority. In this sharepoit list I have columns:

  Name

  Authority

The second list is named forms with columns:

  Name of submitter

  Authority of submitter

  Agent of sumitter

I have set my form to this properties:

DateCardNameOfSubmitter

ComboBox1

Items: Distinct('Authority'; Name)

DateCardAuthorityOfSumbmitter

ComboBox2

Items: Filter('Authority'; Name = ComboBox1.Selected.Result)

This works pretty good. But now I need to filter the Agent of sumitter back from the second list and column Name.

Something like this:

DataCardAgentOfSubmitter

ComboBox3

Filter('Authority'; Authority = ComboBox2.SelectedItems.Authority)

But it does not works because it does not filter by multiple selection but only with single selections. What should I do with that? Thanks.

Re: Filtering by multiple selection does not work

Hi @JiriS ,

Could you please share a bit more about the third ComboBox (ComboBox3) that you mentioned?

Do you want to pull data into the ComboBox3 from your authority SP List or forms SP List?

Further, do you selected multiple options within the second ComboBox?

Based on the formula that you mentioned, I have made a test on my side, please consider take a try with the following workaround:

Set the Items property of the ComboBox3 to following:

Filter('Authority'; Authority in ComboBox2.SelectedItems.Authority)

If the Authority column is a Choice type in your authority SP List, please consider modify above formula as below:

Filter(
        'Authority';
         Authority in ForAll(
                              ComboBox2.SelectedItems.Authority,
                              Authority.Value
                      )
)

Please consider take a try with above solution, then check if the issue is solved.

Re: Filtering by multiple selection does not work

This is a knee-jerk response, so apologies if its way off.

Perhaps:

Filter('Authority'; Authority In ComboBox2.SelectedItems.Authority)

Re: Filtering by multiple selection does not work

Hi,

thank you so much for your idea. It helped me so much.

I have set the property OnSelect of ComboBox3:

ClearCollect(FF; ForAll(ComboBox2.SelectedItems.Authority; Filter('Authority'; Authority in Authority)));;
ClearCollect(FFF; Ungroup(FF; "Value"));; ClearCollect(FFFF;GroupBy(FFF; "Name"; "Seskupení"));;
ClearCollect(FFFFF; Filter(FFFF; CountRows(Seskupení) = CountRows(ComboBox1.SelectedItems)))

and Items

FFFFF

I do not how but it works. Thank you for you idea!!!

J.
