I have a fun question and I have no idea if this is at all possible. I'm creating a powerapp for our student workers to use to sign and out of their shifts. I have the general app working that will create an item in a sharepoint list on our department's sharepoint page with their name and the current date and when they sign in. When they sign out I have it set to update the record with the signed out time.
Now I want to add in some more info to make sure that they are physically at their stations when they sign in. I would like to record the name of the computer, or IP address, so that we can check to make sure they are in and not signing in from off campus. Is there a way that I can obtain the computer name or IP Address in PowerApps?
Hi Johnsoep,
It seems that it is not possible currently to get the computer name or IP Address in PowerApps. If convenient, may I suggest you submit an idea at PowerApps Ideas Forum?

I would also collect and report this from my side.
Best regards,
Mabel Mao
hi @johnsoep
you can probably do this with an api to give you your ip, such as https://www.ipify.org/
you can register the api in PowerApps like this: https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/tutorials/register-custom-api/
please let me know how you get on or if you need help
