Form Data Cards Resize After Visibility is Toggled

During initialization, the data cards look fine. The form's visibility is set to local variable privateMenu=0. I have a menu feature where the user may see and edit the record on a form when privateMenu=0, but as the user selects other menus, the form becomes invisible (and other items become visible).

Once the user navigates away from menu 0 (e.g. menu 1) and then back to menu 0, the data cards shrink to the point where you can only see the first label. For example, all the user can see is the label "Customer Name" but only a sliver of the top border of the datacard textbox can be seen (because the datacard's height has been automatically, but erroneously adjusted). If I click that tiny little sliver, I can access the textbox, but obviously this is not a satisfactory solution.

My first thought was to create a variable for each datacard's height (e.g. UpdateContext({privateDataCard1Height:100})), but then I'd have to create dozens of those for each card with varying heights. I have over 6 screens, each with forms with over a dozen fields. I'm hoping not to have to create over a hundred local variables.

Re: Form Data Cards Resize After Visibility is Toggled

Hi @tommyly,

Could you please share a screenshot about the issue within your app?

I have made a test on my side, and don't have the issue that you mentioned. The GIF screenshot as below:Test1.gif

Set the OnVisible property of the Edit screen1 (on your side, it is menu 0) of my app to following formula:

Set(privateMenu,0)

Set the Visible property of the Edit form control within the Edit screen1  (on your side, it is menu 0) to following formula:

If(privateMenu=0,true,false)

Set the OnSelect property of the Back icon button within the Edit screen2 to following:

Back()

Please take a try to add the following formula within the OnVisible property of your menu 0 (Screen):

ResetForm(EditForm1)

Note: The Editform1 represents the Edit form control within your menu 0 screen.

then check if the issue is solved.

Best regards,

Kris
