I have a data table and would like to color rows based on grouping of a column. For instance this data would color the first three rows the same, the next three rows another color, the next two rows another color...but from what I understand data tables cannot be formatted? Thanks for the information

I don't believe that a datatable will be able to do what you want. However, you can use a gallery to mimic a datatable by placing labels horizontally. and add your headers above the gallery. You can then set the Template Fill property of the gallery to match your criteria.
