Forms, Lookups, Dropdownlists

See above.

I have a form. Form has a dropdown list due to field being a lookup to "Client" Entity (Client Entity has 2 fields: ClientID, and ClientName. ClientID is the "Title" field)

The displaytext is the ID - how can I change the dropdownlist display text to be "ClientName", instead of the current "ClientID" ?

@rgruian - does this help?

Still waiting for help on this one

Keeping up the thread!

I had to send @rgruian a direct message after no response on the thread.

They responded that it has been logged as a bug, and they are investigating.

Hopefully someone will come back to this thread and update the "community".

Just a quick update, the fact that only ClientID shows up in the field projection dropdown has been investigated and determined to be a bug on our end. We are working on a fix, and hope to deploy it soon. Thank you for reporting it -- and for your patience.

Any progress on fixing?

This is really a basic requirement for an app of any size. The value and display bindings of a drop down need to be independent.
That's is to say nothing of another common requirement. Multi column drop downs.
Can someone confirm whether the fix will allow independent bindings for SQL server foreign keys in addition to CDS entities?
Also how do we do multi column drop downs?

How can you support a related entity in CDM, but then have the app not support it? I have UI with loads of "PrimaryId" everywhere. Its basically unusable until this is sorted out.

Unless there is a workaround I am not aware of?

@rgruian - can we get an update on this issue please?
